Walkin’ In My Shoes, Inc., (WIMS) knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate you trusting that we will do so carefully and sensibly. WIMS is committed to keeping your personal information accurate, confidential, secure and private, both online and offline. 

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM YOU: 
We obtain information about you when you visit our website, for example, 
when you contact us about our programs, participate in one of our 
programs or attend an event, or to make a donation to support our 
activities, to volunteer with our organization and programs or if you 
register to receive one of our weekly newsletters. We are committed to 
protecting your privacy rights and personal information. 

THE TYPE OF INFORMATION IS COLLECTED FROM YOU: 
We collect personal information when you voluntarily submit it to us. 
For example, donors may provide us with personal information (such as name, address, email address, telephone numbers and/or credit/debit card information). If a donor, or a website visitor, contacts us by email they may provide us with their email address, and name. Providing data is required in these contexts in order for us to process your donations, 
requests, or respond to inquiries. 
In addition to the personal information that you submit to us, we may 
automatically collect information using the following technologies: 
Web Server Logs. Our web servers may collect certain information such as 
IP address, pages visited, time of visits, and referring website. 
If you make a donation online or purchase a product from us, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third-party payment processors, who specialize in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions, as explained below. 

HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS USED: 
We collect information primarily to accept donations, complete our charitable projects, and provide you with information concerning our programs, projects, and activities. We also use the information for analytical purposes, to improve our website, our donor base, our outreach, or to respond to requests for information. We may inform you of other purposes at the time that we collect some forms of information. 
For example, if you apply for a job we may collect information in order to process your job application. 
We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us. 

WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION: 
We will not trade, share, sell or rent your information with other organizations or any third parties.

Third-Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We may pass you

necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that

their own direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that we will 
not release your information to third parties beyond the WIMS Network 
for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes unless you have 
requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, 
by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other 
crime.

website or sites in the WIMS media network. This helps us to improve our website and deliver a better more personalized service.

WIMS is responsible for the protection of your personal information collected through our office(s), program activities and website.

WIMS’s CEO is designated as the WIMS Privacy Officer and has overall 
responsibility for the protection of personal information and for the 
WIMS’s compliance with this Privacy Policy.

electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information collected online.

All electronic online donations are protected by the companies who offer 
service to transmit payments for nonprofit organizations such as; 
Paypal, eBay Giving, Benevity, and zeffy.

REFUND POLICY 
We view your donation made to WIMS not as corporate income, but as your personal gift to help those in need. Should you have a concern about how your gift is used, or experience a rare problem in processing your donation, we will be happy to address your questions and take every reasonable measure to rectify any problem that may have occurred. Should 
you still wish to retract your gift, simply contact us at 
1-262-577-5218. In most cases, we can return your gift to you in full when requested within a reasonable amount of time from the gift date.
